DESCRIPTION:Join Spiros Xydas and the Baker Middle School Concert Band for the PREMIERE of my newest piece for concert band\, “After Further Review.” The band will perform the piece as part of the Music in the Parks Festival at Cedar Point (OH). \nThis piece was commissioned by a consortium of 5 concert bands\, including: \n\nJames Mobley\, Brownstown Middle School — Consortium Lead\nScott Crecelius\, Larson Middle School\nMary Day\, Wilson Middle School\nLarry Johnson\, Saint Joseph School\nSpiros Xydas\, Baker Middle School\n\nP.S. Following the band’s premiere performance of “After Further Review\,” I received the following note from Spiros Xydas\, cond.: “It went very well and was well received by the adjudicators. We ended up earning First Place in our division and walked away with the Espirit de Corps Award (most spirited).”

Following the band’s premiere performance of “After Further Review\,” I received the following note from Mary Day\, cond.: “We really enjoyed the experience and challenge of learning it! Exciting\, intricate music with some gorgeous passages. The Zoom session we did with you prior to the performance also made an impact on the kids! I’ve definitely recommended the piece to a number of nearby band directors.”
